From a yarn spinner… to a cable assembler
Everything started back in 1973, in the heart of the Scalve valley, when, at 53 years of age, after ending his long career as yarn spinner, Donato Lino Poli was brave enough to start up a new business and opened Elettronica Scalvina.
With now more than forty years of experience, our company believes in the value of innovation and looks ahead to achieve excellence in products and services tailored to the needs of its customers, or, as we prefer to call them, partners.
In the early years, we mainly focused on the assembly and welding of electronic components, but then expanded our range of offered services to the telecommunications sector, as a subcontractor and qualified supplier of the historic company Telettra Spa for which we specialised as wire harness board assembler.
In 1991, the production unit of Elettronica Scalvina S.r.l. moved to Vertova (BG), where we started to diversify into the production of wires and cable systems for the medical, military, textile and industrial electronics sectors.
In 1998, we obtained ISO 9002 certification from the Milan IMQ certifying body. Down the years, as we strived to achieve continuous improvement, we obtained further quality certifications, 9001:2000 (Vision) first and then 9001:2008.
In 2018, we ultimately obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification, which confirmed the achievement of top-level quality standards within our organisation.
